Cosa sia l'ispirazione artistica è difficilissimo a dirlo, potremmo quasi dire impossibile darne una definizione. Come avvenga l'arte del creare ( e attenzione usiamo la parola arte e non tecnica in modo non casuale ), ossia quel meccanismo che porta la mente e il corpo a comporre, a creare qualcosa che qualche attimo prima non esisteva, non è dato a saperlo. Quello che è dato di vedere sono gli effetti dell'ispirazione. E questo cd ne è un esempio evidente.
Deep Blue Organ Trio è un trio composto da Chris Foreman all' Hammond B3 ( il nostro organo ), Bobby Broom alla chitarra e Greg Rockingham alla batteria. Questi tre nostri eroi sono riusciti a unire suoni e melodie complesse in un modo che sembra semplicemente geniale, sono riusciti a trasformare ciò che è spirituale e per sua natura intangibile in intelleggibile in qualcosa di intellettuale e quindi capibile, sono riusciti nel presente a farci intuire cosa sarà il futuro ma ricordandosi del passato. Per far tutto questo sono occorsi piu' di tre anni durante i quali Chris, Bobby e Greg hanno maturato la loro amicizia e la loro sintonia musicale al Chicago's Green Mill esibendosi settimanalmente a folle entusiaste. Nonostante ci troviamo di fronte ad un disco che è impossibile non definire jazz il denominatore comune che ha consentito di far quanto sopra detto, e quindi di creare qualcosa di "geniale" e di libero è stato il Blues proprio come accadde ai grandi maestri del passato Charlie Parker, Onrette Coleman e John Coltraine. Ma è inutile soffermarci di piu' quando voi stessi potete ascoltare questo cd grazie a radio moonlight. Buon Divertimento !!!!

Hold on to your hat or whatever, then, and prepare to be overrun by Emmylou Harris, the best new thing I've been flattened by lately.
